LLGFF 2010: Opening Night

The 24th London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival opens with the glittering world premiere of BBC2 commissioned drama The Secret Diaries of Miss Ann Lister. Maxine Peake (Criminal Justice) delivers a remarkable and heartfelt performance as Anne Lister, an early 19th century Yorkshire landowner, industrialist, traveller and prolific diarist whose coded journals form the basis of this true story. At the Odeon West End screening we speak to Peake and co-star Anna Madeley, as well as festival programmers, as 2 weeks of diverse and exciting screenings and events commence.
