Brian Clemens in Conversation

Brian Clemens talks about his long and accomplished career in writing as part of a BFI retrospective on some of his fascinating work in British television and film. Here Clemens remembers his first years as a professional writer in the Danziger brothers' production company, stating it to be one of the most didactic and creatively demanding periods in his career. He also details how his love for books and reading introduced him to the likes of W. Somerset Maugham and Proust and Edgar Wallace (the African novels in particular) which in turn influenced him in mastering his craft.
