Street Corner + Introduction by Peggy Cummins
As part of the Capital Tales event strand at BFI Southbank, veteran British actress Peggy Cummins introduces her 1953 film Street Corner. In a discussion hosted by Curator Jo Botting, Cummins remembers her role as a small time criminal in the film, as well as a similar role in Gun Crazy, and comments on the female role models in Street Corner that were quite different from the conventional ones on offer in the 1950s.
