Marcus Prince on David Renwick Season

A writer who refused to be categorised, the subtle mix of humour, intrigue and surrealism that David Renwick brings to a script has seen him create some of the best loved shows on British television, as well as gain recognition from his industry, with two BAFTAs and a Writers’ Guild Award. BFI TV Programmer Marcus Prince explores the flavour and diversity of Renwick’s writing, from One Foot in the Grave to Jonathan Creek, and the stylistic twists and touching humanity unique to his brand of comedy. The screenings in this January season are supplemented by an appearance by the man himself at BFI Southbank.
