MICMACS + Q&A with Jean-Pierre Jeunet

In this engaging and animated Q + A, French auteur Jean-Pierre Jeunet takes to the BFI Southbank stage after a packed screening of his latest film MICMACS. In conversation with author Mark Salisbury, the maverick director reveals the vast web of influences on the film's creation, including the stories behind both the title and the title character, and frank views on contemporary French cinema. He also compares the cinematic method to meccano, and expresses a desire for and support of a strong new wave of filmmakers.
