The Sky at Night

Astrophysicist Chris Lintott hosts a discussion about The Sky at Night, one of the most acclaimed science programmes on British television, as part of the BFI's Film Science: Future Human Season. Programme producer Jane Fletcher fondly recalls moments over the years of filming in presenter Sir Patrick Moore's garden, including some of his more original methods of demonstration. Also featured on the panel are astrophotographer Pete Lawrence and Paul Abel, who joined the Sky at Night as co-presenter in 2009. They share some remarkable memories, including their filming of the Aurora and the Turkish Eclipse in 2006.
