Cleve Jones on Gay Activism

A moving highlight the 23rd LLGFF, Cleve Jones appeared onstage to discuss the legacy of Harvey Milk with Senior Programmer Brian Robinson. A passionate gay activist, Jones was an apprentice at Harvey’s office until the day he was assassinated. The legacy of Harvey Milk continues to influence global queer activism to this day. Jones talks about Harvey’s immense dedication to investing in youth and his status as a mentor for all people fighting for their human rights. He also discusses his role as historical advisor on Gus Vant Sant’s Oscar-winning film Milk.
