The Times BFI London Film Festival Vodcast Day 8

Day 8 of the Festival saw another wide range of filmmakers share their insights, from Michael Haneke (The White Ribbon) at his afternoon press conference, to Penny Woolcock at the screening of her latest film 1 Day. At the Southbank, Snipping the Celluloid Ceiling, hosted by The Script Factory's Briony Hanson, looked at the achievements of female filmmakers, who included Finola Dwyarer (producer of An Education), Jan Chapman (producer of Bright Star), Xiaolu Guo (writer-director of She, a Chinese), Lindy Heymann (Director of Kicks) and Lisa Cortes (Producer of Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire). Back in the West End, it was all about the boys however, with the MOFILM gala of The Boys are Back, where we spoke to stars Clive Owen and George MacKay, and director Scott Hicks. We also talked to the creative team behind the much anticipated The Scouting Book for Boys, including producer Ivana MacKinnon, director Tom Harper, writer Jack Thorne, and star Thomas 'Tomo' Turgoose.
