In This Our Lives: The Reunion + Panel Discussion

In 1987 the National Black Gay Men's conference was the first and only national gathering of black gay men in the UK. In This Our Lives is an intimate documentary addressing vital issues of black gay activism, taking the form of a debate between participants of that memorable conference. The film’s festival premiere was followed by a panel debate with the subjects of the film. Parallel comparisons with contemporary queer activism via short films and social media such as YouTube are placed under the spotlight, indicating a yearning for exploration of identity through imagery by younger generations. Featuring Topher Campbell, Campbell X, Martin Patrick, Alex Olowade, Ajamu X, Jay Bernard, Dejay Scott, and Christian Neckles.
