Horrible Histories + Q&A

The creative team behind the hit CBBC series Horrible Histories visit BFI Southbank for a Film Funday preview event. Producer Caroline Norris discusses the challenge of addressing issues not normally dealt with by children's television - the show is known for its focus on strange and gory aspects of history. Actor Martha Howe-Douglas describes spending hours in make-up being transformed into Queen Elizabeth I, and co-star Laurence Rickard recalls the filming of a memorable scene in which he was vomited on by cows. Norris also reflects on the show's awards success and crossover appeal, revealing that she set out 'to make a show that people would say was too good for children'.
