Robert Beavers + Q&A

Experimental filmmaker Robert Beavers introduces a rare screening of his work at BFI Southbank, including Early Monthly Segments (1968-70), featuring footage of his life partner (and fellow director) Gregory Markopoulos. He explains why he decided to leave the US and move to Europe in the 1960s, and reveals his influences, ranging from Fritz Lang's silent films to Douglas Sirk's melodramas.
