Critic Mark Kermode interviews director William Friedkin after a screening of the latter's new black comedy, Killer Joe, at BFI Southbank.
As well as discussing his film, including a controversial scene involving a chicken bone, Friedkin tells anecdotes from his career, describing his wife's loathing of his 1980 film Cruising, and his disastrous encounter with Alfred Hitchcock.
