Director Matthew Akers talks about Marina Abramovic´: The Artist is Present, his documentary about the influential Serbian performance artist. Akers reveals he was initially sceptical about working on the film, as he had reservations about Abramovic´'s art. However he was won over by Abramovic´'s openness and fearlessness, and very impressed by her work after experiencing it in person. He also discusses the challenges of capturing performance art on screen.
