The BFI National Archive’s stunning restoration of The Epic of Everest will be released on Dual Format Edition (DVD and Blu-ray) on 20 January 2014. Captain John Noel’s extraordinary official record of the tragic 1924 Everest expedition features a new score by composer Simon Fisher Turner, and also includes a recreation of the orchestral soundtrack which accompanied the film upon its original screenings.
