To mark the 40th anniversary of its original release, StudioCanal are proud to release the first ever 4K UHD version of David Lynch’s The Elephant Man in a special Collector’s Edition.
Lynch’s moving true story of humanity and bravery stars John Hurt in the iconic role of Joseph ‘John’ Merrick. Forced into becoming a circus sideshow freak and later rescued by surgeon, Frederick Treves (played by Anthony Hopkins), Merrick escapes a life of cruelty and tries to fit into a world ruled by Victorian sensibilities.

The new 4K restoration was carried out under the supervision of Lynch who also personally curated the colour correction. The three-disc Collectors’ Edition includes a pop-up gatefold sleeve, 64-page booklet and five stunning artcards. Bonus material includes interviews with Lynch, the actors and a behind-the-scenes stills gallery.
The Elephant Man is released on digital download, DVD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD Collector’s Edition on 6 April after a cinema re-release.
We have a top prize Collector’s Edition to give away and three runner-up Blu-rays.
The competition closes on Thursday 9 April and is open to UK residents only.
