Winner of awards from Cannes to the Oscars, László Nemes’ debut feature Son of Saul is a courageous and unflinching reimagining of the Holocaust drama.
Saul Auslander is a member of the Sonderkommando, the Jewish prisoners forced to assist in the machinery of the Nazi concentration camps. While at work he discovers the body of a boy he recognises as his son and vows to carry out an impossible task: to save the child’s body from the flames and try and find him a proper burial.
Extras on both the DVD and Blu-ray include a Q&A with the director, behind-the-scenes GoPro footage, a deleted scene and an earlier short film by László Nemes.
The closing date is Tuesday 9 August.
The competition is open to UK residents only.
