Bristol – February 2011

By invitation from Watershed, the UK Film Council (now BFI) took Beyond the Box Office to Bristol. Rebecca O’Brien (Sixteen Films), Alison Sterling (southwest-based producer, Ignition Films) and Caroline Norbury (South West Screen) joined Professor Ian Christie (Birkbeck College) and Bertrand Moullier (NARVAL) to discuss the cultural impact of UK cinema. Mark Cosgrove (Head of Programming at Watershed) moderated the discussion where Tamara Drewe, Straw Dogs and Radio On were a few of the case studies examined.
