James Devine

Library Assistant for Reader Services

James is currently maternity cover Library Assistant at the BFI Reuben Library until August 2020. He completed an MA in Medieval History at the University of Sheffield in 2015, an MA in Library and Information Science at UCL in 2019 and has previously held positions at East Sussex Libraries and The London Library.

James’s responsibilities include staffing the front desk in Edwin Fox Foundation Reading Room, processing new stock for the collection, retrieving materials for consultation and handling advance request enquiries.

His main interests in film are in the Taiwanese new wave, slow and long form cinema and the moving image.
