Peter Todd

Librarian for Research and Enquiries

Peter is Librarian for Research & Enquiries. Before his appointment as Librarian for Research and Enquiries in 2011, he managed the BFI Information Services. Peter continues to advise library users on research across the BFI collections, from simple questions to large research projects, from individuals to university departments, colleges, organisations and companies. He liaises on behalf of the library with the academic community and has represented the library and advised on AHRC related projects. He leads on the programming of the talks and discussions that take place in the BFI Reuben Library throughout the year which have featured many leading and emerging academics, specialists, and artists. Peter has hosted or chaired many of these, for which he is the first point of contact. These have included a series of talks supported by the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art and other partnerships. Peter is responsible for liaison with the BFI digital team and maintains the library webpages. He has an MA in Film and Television Studies (Part Time) from the Polytechnic of Central London.

Outside the BFI Peter works independently as curator and has presented work at Tate Modern, MoMA New York, BAFICI Buenos Aires, The Cinema Museum London, Star and Shadow Newcastle among others.
